Message Board and Website UP

Hi guys,
Thanks for your patience.  We took 1 step forward and 2 steps back but we are up and running now!

Let me know if you notice problems by posting on this message. The email from the message board is not working yet but we are working on fixing that.

Messages that were posted after approximately 9am on Monday, April 8th were lost.  There weren't many but a few.  I still can't figure out how some got posted because you couldn't log in!

The other known problem is pictures displaying in messages.  We have a fix for that so let me know if you notice the problem.

The website itself may not work properly yet.  I still need to do some tweaking...

Hi guys,
The home page is back up and running as well as a few other webpages.  They will slowly all come back as I tweak them.  If you go to a page and get an error message, just check the page again in a day or so.

The message board is working!  How come I am not seeing very many posts?  Is it because you are going to the message board through the home page?

Any problems or concerns, please post in this message thread.

Remember, the email from the board still does not work!

 the home page still doesn't come up for me. if I just type in //www.pentonusa.org I get a message that something cool is coming soon.

Al (and anyone else with same problem),

If you have trouble bringing up the home page, try one or all of these things, not necessarily have to do them in this order.

1.  Click on refresh page.
2.  Close your browser.  Reopen browser.
3.  Delete your cookies and cache from your browser.
4.  Try going to http://pentonusa.org/about/about.asp
    and go to the bottom of the page and click on HOME.
5.  Try going to http://pentonusa.org/default.htm

Let me know what worked for you.  Others may be having the same problem.

Hi Karen,
tried the default.htm -that got me to the home page. then deleted cookies, that allows me to get to homepage with pentonusa.org   it still kicks me out when i try to go to home page from the message board.

Hi Al,
Not sure why on the message board it won't take you to the home page.

What do you see when you click on "home"?  "Something cool...is coming?"

Hmmm. Something could still be caught up on your computer.  What browser are you using?

Make sure you also deleted the temp files and cache as well as the cookies.  Maybe do this all over again and see what happens.

Last resort may be to delete your history.  That can be a pain for you as you will have to reenter and type etc until it gets recorded again.

Hi Karen,
 I'm using Firefox, I deleted all cookies and browsing history in firefox and that seems to have solved the problem.  The link to Al's website on the link page still redirects though.

Thank you for taking good care of our web site. In that I update and maintain my web site, I know the time and effort that it involves. I can also appreciate what it took for you to transfer this site over to a new server - the hours spent fixing and tweeking things to make everything work the way it should.

went back through cleared history, cookies & cache again. Al's site comes right up now.  I assume photo gallery will be down for awhile or do I have a problem there too?

Photo gallery will be down awhile.  Still working on some of the other web pages too.
