Anybody got a red wire coil that you know is good that I could buy?  I'm finishing a 73 Jackpiner that has a Vance reworked stator and coil, but I can't get spark.  Went through all tests per Vance, and he emailed me that I might need a red wire coil. Vance is not back until March, so I need to try something.

Thanks

I may be wrong but do not think he does the upper coil. You can use the black wire coil if the reworked  diode is in the stator .

Mike, email sent.

Working red wire coils are becoming a little harder to find and more expensive. Vance has done black wire coils with an added diode.  Word has it he's working on a steel tanker project this winter in Florida [8D]

Penton Racing has replacement coils that will work I think[?]

Keith,

Go on ebay or check at any vintage brand motorcycle shop of 2-cycle bikes (that was not Japanese of 4-stroke) to look for a late 70s to early 80s red lead motoplat spark coil.

good luck,
