Just wanted to mention that the photo of Doug on the Homepage was taken along the west side of the Penton/Honda building. That building is located behind John's home and today is occupied by a used car company. We visited the location this past June as part of our Penton homecoming.

  I think the one trophy, or possibly all of them, would be from the Busted Piston Enduro, but maybe some of you would know for sure.

I remember racing a long team hare scramble at Smith Road Raceway (George Singler's).   It was very muddy and wet.   I believe Doug raced this Hercules 175 and won OVERALL.    Darn, it was hard enough getting around that track with a teammate, and he did it all by himself and won.
