Hi Tom;
    What size is the 250 piston? I'm interested in that.
  Thanks a lot,

I will verify and post size this evening for everyone, but I "believe" that's the one noted on the box as 70.5mm.

Just noted the OEM Model number for the piston kit as well, it's written on the box as54.30.007.200 for reference but is stamped 71.5mm with a No. 1.

Hi Tom;
   Thanks for checking, but to be sure, are you certain that the last three digits of the 250 piston part number are .200? I just did a quick cross reference with Al Beuhner's web site, and the numbers in sequence go from .000, to .010, to .300 and up from there , and start out at 71mm for the 54.30.007.000 part number. I have to check my cylinder tonight or tomorrow morning and measure it. If the last three digits are .300, I'm interested and will know for sure tonight or tomorrow. Gotta dig my small shed out a bit to get to where the cylinder is, but should not be too difficult. I'll get back to you ASAP.
   Thanks a lot,
   Dan McEntee

Will double check everything for sure and post it up. The piston looks to be stamped with the number 71.5 so that was my first mistake! The part numbers written on the box so I'll do some measuring and again just post everything up so ya'll know what we have here. Thanks for your patience!

Hi Tom;
    Thanks for checking and thanks for your patience! No harm in being sure. I'm not at a point where I am really ready to get started on this engine, due to old man winter, but I need to know and be sure of the bore size anyway, so no time like the present. That 71.5mm dimension matches what Al has on his website, and I'm thinking is 2nd oversize? Especially if 71mm is standard bore. I'm at work and don't have my manuals at hand, but Al's numbers should be good. They usually are.
  Thanks a lot,
   Dan McEntee

So it's for sure. I measured the piston and it is in fact a 71.5 and has a No. 1 stamped on the top along with said 71.5. Feel free to e-mail me at [email protected] if you have any more questions though. Thanks!
