The arrival of passes for Vintage Motorcycle Days has served as a reminder to make the following inquiry.  Each year a few of them are reserved for potentially new displayers and or workers.  If you are able to bring a bike or two, or three, or more for display, or can be there to help set up/tear down, answer questions, or greet guests, you could qualify for a weekend pass

Just a heads up - there were/are still rooms available in MANSFIELD, OH for VMD.  This even includes Motel 6 and Super 8 - i.e., the cheaper stuff.

I'm holding several different rooms while I wait for my "posse" to get back to me with their preferences - it was like shopping in a candy store!  

I'll put a note up here again before letting one of them go.

Passes with the exception of one or two should be arriving to recipients.   Those who let me know they were coming Thursday also have a copy of the letter included.  

Depending on which gate and how much training the worker checking you in received they may ask to see the letter and at least one valid ticket.  Explain you are there for vendor setup and are with the Penton Owners Group.

A follow-up to my previous message regarding hotels.

We're going with the Motel 6 outside of Mansfield.  Amazing -NEVER been this close for this cheap.  Heck - I'll even let the bed bugs stay.

Haven't looked at availability, but I'm still holding a Super 8 (two queens I think) AND Holiday Inn Express (two queens) in Mansfield.  And I have a Super 8 (two queens plus one twin!) at Ashland, which has been my usual stomping ground in previous years. All reservations are for Thurs and Fri only BTW...I have to head home in time for my daughter's wedding shower on Sunday

On the subject of usual suspects.  I'll be bringing several bikes for display and I am a little more motivated this year to leave a few with new owners.  Most have seen my Steel Tanker, Jackpiner, and Mudlark (all well under 7K).  This year I will also have along a recently acquired '72 Six Days.  In the next few days I will post up some photos of the newbie.  
If you had the opportunity to read my President's Corner in the last newsletter you now know I have three Berkshire projects to complete.  With luck a possible team of four will make VMD next year.
