Sold

It looks as though I am moving from Penton Central to another city.  Unfortunately, that means it is time to thin the herd.

I am just finishing my 1972 Penton Six Days and think it should be the one to go. $1500 I have to put on the fenders, chain, fuel lines and hook up the rear brakes, but hope to finish this week.

Here are the details:
*The frame was blasted and painted. The swingarm pivot and one bushing was replaced, frame threads heli-coiled, welded where necessary.
*The entire engine disassembled to bare cases, Vapor Blasted, re-assembled with new seals and gaskets. Shifting adjusted by Jerry at Penton Racing Products.  He also welded up and repaired the cases and set the timing.
*New rings, top end gaskets, carb vapor blasted and ultrasonically cleanted, new float bowl gasket.

*New tires, tubes (NOS Barum front and rear), chain, cables, levers, fork seals, seal savers, fenders (not currently mounted), air filter, tank graphics, steering O rings. All hubs cleaned and lubed. The bike has the narrow Ceriani 32mm forks and a fork brace. Fox Shocks on the rear! I also put on a new exhaust guard, but it is a '73 model.

I have the new chain, just not time or warmth to install it.  I also put stainless steel allen bolts in the engine, stainless steel MX pegs, one good ISDT Magura lever complete, one extra lever cover, original grey clutch and brake cables, spare backing plates, original footpegs and probably more that I just haven't recalled.

I have the title from the original owner, Hi Point tool kit, owner's manual, service manual and Hi Point accessory catalog.

If I can sell it to a Pogger, it will go with stock shocks, a complete high breather 125 frame with good swingarm bushings and pivot, (but rusted above the aircleaner). Includes an airbox, tank, forks, wheels, some transmission parts. The bike also has the original metal number plates, too. The fenders are still in a box.

I really don't want to fight with the wife about moving parts.

You know what they say, if Mama ain't happy, ain't nobody happy and the move is not exactly thrilling her.[/img]
