The latest POG newsletter is now in the mail and all POG members should receive their copies during the next week. [:p]

The member profile for this issue is Elaine (Cobb) Hall who was the 3rd employee to be hired by Penton Imports. Elaine also wrote an article for our "Tanker Talk" section in which she talks about working in the Penton Parts Department.
The "Techs Tips" article is on what the differences are with KTM clutch case covers.
There are also articles on the Ohio Valley BSA meet and the John Penton Movie.

If you do not receive your copy of this newsletter, you will need to contact our membership officer - Dale Fisher

Everyone has been doing a great job of keeping their contact information updated.  When the last newsletter was sent out we had zero returns.  Occasionally, I get goofy fingered and or the Excel membership file has a mind of it's own. Send me an email if something seems incorrect.  Thanks to all as the membership continues to grow. If you haven't joined or renewed you are missing some great reading and information that Al puts a lot of hard work into :D

THANK YOU... Elaine Cobb Hall for your wonderful, from the heart, articles for the POG newsletter  :D

What a trip down memory lane these two articles are, Elaine has provided us with a wonderful look back to the Penton era and all of its splendor through the eyes of someone who worked for John Penton and helped to make it all happen. Elaine was the 3rd. employee of Penton Imports..!

But there is much more to her Penton and motorcycling life as the stories do tell, for those who are not aware, the Cobb name was, and still is, mighty big in the Amherst motorcycling world. Penton service manager John Cobb was Elaine's brother-in-law "back in the day". Sadly Johnny Cobb passed away a few years back, but his legacy continues thru Elaine's son Jay and numerous others in the Cobb family.

During the POG 40/10 event a few years back we had a bus tour of the various facilities that Penton Imports used over the years, when you read Elaine's articles you can understand why she, and many others as well, were moved close to tears as they spoke to the assembled group that day. This picture shows from left Tommy Garrett, Bob Rush, Elaine, John Penton and Carol Shinski as they reflected back to those days  http://www.pentonusa.org/GalleryServerPro/default.aspx?moid=1972&hr=1

You may enjoy slowly looking over the gallery of photos taken on that bus trip that day, it sure was a trip down memory lane. http://www.pentonusa.org/GalleryServerPro/default.aspx?aid=22

Thanks again Elaine....
