Does the Vintage class still require white numberplate background areas for Ahrma or AMA class racing? I am getting ready to paint a set of side panels for a 74 class 250 Hare Scrambler. Red numberplates with White? numberplate oval backgrounds I suppose? Mike

So how do they differentiate amatuer from expert? Back in the day it was yellow for amatuer and white for expert?

There are different colored helmet stripes for the different skill levels. Red/novice. Yellow/intermediate. Black/expert.

I have been racing the North Atlantic series in Pa. and they don't care. If you hit a national race they will want white.

PS
When I need a white one I put white shelf contact plastic over my other color just for one race and then peel it off.

The side number plates on my jackpiner are yellow. I wanted to leave them original so it looks like I'm going to do what Rick does. I never read that rule for vintage. Geuss I better get out the rule book. :D
