Hi, Does anyone know what type of clips I should use for a Wiseco   piston[?]
Type piston: 168P (hi-performace forged => SACHS 125).
There are two types of clips:
Wiseco CW15 (open) and Wiseco CS15 (spring).
Thx, CK

If the piston has a notch in the pin hole for clip removal, use the wire clip (cw). Ones without a notch use the spring type (cs). Mike

Thanks Mike,
No notch, ... so it is a CS.
How should these be mounted [}:)]
It looks like a spring??

You spread it slightly and insert it in a circular motion as you continue to spread it. The notch type wire clips are used mostly now, and are easier to remove and insert. Mike

May I also use the CW (notch type wrist pin clips) for these pistons?
These are indeed easier.
Thx, Koen

You can't remove the wire clips without the notch in the piston, unles you angle grind the end of the wire, to be able to pry it out with a pick, & I'm not sure it is the same thickness, which is most important. Mike

Hi Mike, thanks for the tip.
I've used the CW (spring type) and it worked fine.
First open the spring slightly, then turn it in.
I fear, ...disassembling are going to be harder!
But that's for later;)

With a sharp pick, you can grab the angled end of the spiral wound spring and lift it while pulling it outward. It takes some practice, and a good light to see what you are doing, but once you get the hang of it, it's doable. Mike
