front brake hub / axle

After installing brake front brake hub (with the 7mm spacer in place) is the axle (bearing axle) recessed or flush with outer edge of brake hub? Or ? Referring to the side where the brake hub butts up against lower fork. 74 250 Hare. anyone have a photo they can post? Can you measure spacer verify 7MM
