Word has it that Young Ted will be making an appearance at VMD, supposedly arriving around noon on Saturday. Given his reputation for causing trouble, hence the nickname "Troublemaker", as well as Young Ted", it seemed prudent alert one and all to watch out for pranks and such that Ted is known to pull...:D

    Be on the lookout!!!

    Don't say you weren't warned....

PS  Check out the photo of Young Ted's Penton that the link below takes you to. It was taken at VMD a few years back and makes me smile looking at it.

When we arrived at the POG site that year there was this giant clump tree taking up a lot of our space, in looking closer at it I saw that the branches had just grown out of the stump of the original tree. I commented that if we just had a saw we could cut the branches off, well Young Ted was near by and instantly reached into his trusty van and got out the saw. In short order we had the branches cut off and the remaining stump had some unique character to it and I mentioned that it should hold a motorcycle nicely....well Young Ted once again came to the rescue and he got back into his van and brought his trusty Penton "Davie" over to the stump. With a couple of heaves we had old Davie perched nicely on the stump and we all looked at the creation and laughed and laughed...:D

During that VMD event people constantly stopped to either take a picture of Davie on the stump or came over and gave the front wheel a big spin, all along we kept laughing and laughing...:D

I am sure that many of you have some very special memories from years gone by at VMD as well... Of folks like Dane Leimbach, Al Born, Jeff Borer and many more of our friends who have passed on. I just packed my shirts for the event and they are the ones that have Dane and Al and some of the others on them. They might be gone, but they are surely not forgotten.
