After a period on time on several social media for sale pages my three rail trailer is now on Craig's.  I did have one offer to trade for a Penton motorcycle but sadly he changed his mind [V]  I do my best work buying stuff, suck at selling anything, and get amused when offers come for a quarter of the items worth.  Need to make some space and fund the next projects....

In April I sold a 25+ year old home built 3 rail for $700. I think your low on your price Dale. Yours would be a steal for $725.

I'm trying to convince myself that I need a 3 rail trailer.

An open trailer has it's plus and minus points.  On the plus side what' on the trailer is readily visible.  On the opposite side inclement weather can be a source of frustration if your desire is to arrive at your destination with a nice clean motorcycle.  I always used a travel cover or tarp to keep the internals nice and dry if rain was expected.  I'm still dealing off and on with issues from the great blizzard and salting after the 2015 Cleveland show.  It is much easier to load/unload than the Hi-Point (in my opinion) and the precious cargo always draws comments upon rest and food stops :D

Dale:
You bring up an excellent point.  After exposure to road salt like your photo you MUST was off immediately upon getting home and then dry.  I took an IT200 to a swop meet, turned around due to snow and bad road conditions and left it in garage till next day and rust was already there.

I just bought a Wells Cargo enclosed 7 x 10 trailer to facilitate the ease of loading 3 bikes plus parts and may have a receiver mounted on the back too also accommodate my bike rack because of similar concerns while hauling bikes in the winter time especially
