Vintage swap meet in Davenport IA. Labor Day

I am from the quad Cities just across the river, people from all over the country attend the swap meet. You won't be disappointed. You will probably run into the pickers there, Laclaire is just down the road

I went a couple of years ago, big AMCA style meet, lots of stuff, and the "pickers" were there. It's the Blackhawk swapmeet if you want to Google it.

I am leaving Friday Sept. 1st from Central Eastern Illinois and heading NorthWest to the Chief Blackhawk Vintage motorcycle Swapmeet on Labor Day weekend in Davenport, Iowa on Friday afternoon. I will be also traveling up to Wisconsin Dells with my enclosed bike trailer, then returning to Illinois on Sunday Sept. 4th, and have available spaces for inexpensive transportation if anyone needs something picked up and delivered, usually $100-$200, depending on how far off Route pick-up or delivery is required. Mike, did you like the swapmeet? Anything interesting that you brought home?

There was quite a lot of classic older cruiser bikes as expected. but also a fairly good measure of dirt bikes. I wound up buying a couple NOS Enduro tires cheap for my TS projects, and a 77 RM80 project bike for $80. I got to shake Mike from the pickers hand, and took a pic of him with my wife, then later went to their home store, and the next day to the Anamosa IA. motorcycle museum. They had a couple steel tanker Pentons and a few dirt bikes in the museum, but not many. Mike
