Lectron is only legal in AHRMA for Post Vintage,  NOT Vintage legal.  Most of the flack that Bing gets is because they are not understood and have old parts partucularily the needle jet.  People will look at a worn one and say it looks fine and run it.  That is like looking at points and saying they look about right.  A Bing flows more gas than a mikuni per mm so in MX it is like running a 2mm bigger carb.  Never had starting troubles with a fresh Bing and understanding what to do with the tickler. Of course everything else needs to be right as with anything.  Good ignition, proper compression, etc.

Also when done with all new carb. parts its a good idea to put arubber band holding the choke lever closed. It wont get accidentally turned on![]
