Hi there I've just purchased a 1975 penton six days, does any member have photos or a link to a website as I'm interested in restoring it to its original condition, did the 1975 model have metal fenders as the one I've just bought has plastic ones, I'm based in the south of England
Looking forward to any help and very happy to be a Penton owner

Hi Gareth,
Welcome to the wonderful world of Penton, Penton USA.

This is the website that you have been looking for.

Starting in 1974, all the Penton motorcycles came with plastic fenders.
If you go to the photo gallery on this web site you will find many fine examples  of 1975 Penton motorcycles.

There is search feature on this site that allows you look up information that has been talked about and is archived. If after searching for an answer to a question that cannot be found, feel free to ask our experts for their advice.

It had plastic fenders in 1975.  There are a couple of different copies that are good and pliable.  The originals were pretty brittle and broke easily.  The 75 is the only long travel Sachs powered 125 as it was the last year with the Sachs motor.

Many thanks Alan for a speedy reply,
I've been told by the previous owner that it was raced in Michigan by Jim Hollander in
1979, the bike came with an old rear broken fender with an original Michigan 79 race entry number still stuck to it

Hi Gareth,

Jim Hollander started and still has a company called Hot Grips. On their website Jim has written his racing history and maybe you will find it interesting to read. I do believe that you can contact Jim thru his website to see if indeed he did race your Penton. The link below should take you to Jim's racing history on his website.

Best of luck with your Penton....and welcome to the message board !
