NOS 4.00-18 Metzeler 6 Days tire

I recently located and purchased a 400-18 Metzeler New Old Stock 6 days tire from the UK. They hit me hard with additional shipping so I've got quite a bit wrapped up in it, and I was planning on putting it on my early 74 red tank 250 Hare Scrambler and selling the bike. I could not locate a front so I ordered a Uni-X Metzeler, which has the same tread pattern. When checking about the uni X Tire with Kip Kern he told me that I shouldn't put the NOS Tire on the bike if it was going to be ridden since it was worth too much, so I guess I'll try to get a matching rear and offer the NOS tire for sale if anyone has an offer for a show original Tire. I would hate to see it be ruined since they're so hard to find. Mike
