Hello POG, just recently purchased my first 1976 KTM MC5 250 and got a question about using Bel-Ray MC-1 Racing Full Synthetic 2T Engine Oil , if anyone has any recommendation would be appreciated? Also the mixing ratio 20:1 , 30:1 etc.? Thank you

Good rule of thumb with the "new" oils is 32 to 1.

Tuff to give a "right" answer.  New oils are so much better than what was run back in the day. Todays engines with much tighter tolerances, higher RPMs and better cooling often run as high as 80 or even 100:1 ratios. Perhaps the important thing to remember is that how oil ratios will impact your jetting: The higher the ratio, your jetting will effectivly be richer. You may find you need to lean out your jetting if you go with a higher gas/oil ratio.

Good information, thanks Pete!

You might be able to do better than MC-1, Maxima 927, Motul 800, lately I have gone over to 20:1. But you will get 100 answers, all different.

currently running Maxima at 40:1.  Hi Gary, see you at the Reunion ride!
