Sorry, but after reading the description on the fenders I mentioned above, it says not suitable for the Steeltank bikes ( which I'm assuming your friend has if it's a 69 model). Sorry for missing that info before posting my reply.

Hi JP,
If you strike out in sourcing original fenders you can try Speed and Sport @ (530)878-0700. 21"x4" front and 18-19" x 5" rear. The may be out of stock now but I think Matt can still get them.

Royal Enfield also stocks nice Aluminum Fenders for the tankers. That's what I used on my tanker restoration from two years ago.
