Hi, all.  Many of you know that Quinn Wentzel has in recent years been carrying the Penton banner high, having won four times now, the AMA's Vintage Grand National Championship.  Each year, the bikes Quinn competes on in the four events involved, have included Pentons.
The victories have not come easily, as young Quinn faces strong competition.  And in addition, anyone who has campaigned on vintage bikes knows just how difficult it is to keep 40+ year old equipment performing reliably in competition.
Quinn has faced many obstacles in his efforts to secure those four titles, and much goes on behind the scenes.  Just this past year the kickstarter on his Mint 400 broke - on race day, mere minutes before Quinn had to go to the line.  Frantic efforts by Quinn's parents - Bob and Diane, located a loaner kickstarter assembly with minutes to spare.
Over the course of this winter, the Mint is undergoing a rebuild, with intent for Quinn to pursue yet another championship in 2019.  However, a replacement kickstarter remains to be secured.  If anyone has one in good condition, which they would like to turn into cash, please contact us, at [email protected].  Thanks very much!
