My bing is pretty well used up ,would like to fit a lectron what works for fitting it to the air box? I race vintage enduros so ahrma rules are not a concern. Very familiar with lectrons used to run them on my kaw triple drag bike and on my ktm 200. Any help is much appreciated

I believe Al Buehner has the boot you need.  You can find him on the suppliers page.

Did you buy the carb yet?  If not, you have the option of having Lectron make the size of the intake any size you want.  Measure your existing boot, and match it up...

Sorry for jumping in the middle of this but I was just wondering what the advantages were for the Lectron? I have one that I was thinking about putting on my 78 250 but don't have any experience with them. I understand the technical difference, just curious about any improvement in performance or durability.

Easier starting and a bit smoother power delivery especially down low in my opinion.

What I have found from using Lectrons ,they make more hp,better gas mileage by a good amount (on my Ktm 200 a extra 20 miles on a tank was a average ) and throttle response is much better . Rarely have to change anything on the jetting/needle, really cold weather you have to turn the needle richer a half turn. Seems to start a lot easier also from a mikuni

Using a Lectron on a '75 Penton will make it illegal in AHRMA vintage racing.  If you lay the shocks down and enter in post vintage racing you are OK.  Alex, I assume you're going to use the bike in the Family Enduro series, which probably doesn't matter, rule-wise?

Mick he is not racing AHRMA he says.

If ahrma were to have a isdt or enduro I would run in post vintage, I dont care for cross country . Looks like the intake will need to be cut, not enough room for the boot? No one has done this?
