Acquired a May'73 Jackpiner frame minus the swing arm a while back. What is the correct Swing Arm design for this mfr. date?

Thanks, Chris H.

I always thought all the 73s had the swingarm like the 72 but with the built in bracket for the chainguide to bolt to up front. It also had the kickstand that went through the bracket on the kickstand.  That is what I thought.  If you are in need I have all the different ones I think.

Larry is correct.

The 1972 models had the side stand mounted under the swing arms and were "L" shaped.
The 1973 models had the side stand mounted on triangular shaped gussets on the side of the swing arm.

Super, Thanks Larry & Al. That get's me started. Since receiving the frame I've found 2 "1973" swingarms with the triangular kickstand gusset on the side for kickstand, they both also have the 2 brackets on the right side for chain guard mounting, and 3 shock positions of course. However, on one of them the swingarm pivot is One Solid Piece that the bolt slides all the way through inside (with bushings on each end of course). There are 2 circular welds just inside of the bushings making the entire tube one solid piece.

This other swingarm I have is exactly the same except there is no pivot "tube" in the middle so the swingarm bolt is exposed at the moment. Is this the one that takes a separate tube in center (with grease fittings?)?? If so, I could use one of those inner pivot tubes!

Finally, can anyone I.D. the one with the solid pivot tube all the way across?! With the exception of the different pivots they're both exactly the same. One is in better shape than the other. Hoping the "nicer" one is the most accurate version. Sorry for rambling, just wanted to be clear. Thoughts? Thx again,

Chris H.

Swing arms for 100-125 were "open" in the center to accommodate the engine hanger bracket.

Larry Perkins

The solid piece one should be the one for a Jackpiner like Carl says the 100 and 125 Sachs motored bikes were open.
