Attempting to locate a 12T sprocket (OEM # 51-33-029-050). Found one on eBay, but with one digit changed (showing 54-33-029-050).  Does anyone know the difference, or IF the "54" will fit? Thanks for the help!

The 51 is a 428 like on the 125 and the 54 is a 520.  I think the 54 is what you want. Pretty sure this is correct but from old memory.  I would bet lunch on it but not the farm as my Grandpa used to say.

Interesting.  My original parts book is showing the 51 for my bike.  I want to believe. Maybe I'll take a chance. Thanks

I think the 54 is 530 chain, slightly wider than the more modern 520 chain.

All the vets. that I know say no smaller than a 13 on the front. Free advice & worth every penny! [:o)]

My 76 175XC came with a 530 chain, as did a 74 Jackpiner I had.  I downsized to the 520 chain.  I thought the 530 was a big of an overkill for the 175 motor....

I recall running 530 chain on 520 sprockets in an effort to "squish" the mud out. Then came sprockets with the mud grooves cut into them...
BTW...the smaller the front sprocket the greater wear on the chain as each link has to pivot further to "bend" around the reduced diameter.
That being said...I've used a 10 (!) on my Husky 125 for years...
