Amherst, Ohio Penton display coming up.

Surely most of you remember reading the results of many, many motorcycle events "back in the day" and seeing Amherst, Ohio listed as the hometown of John Penton. Well folks, with your help, the Penton Owners Group is looking to honor John Penton in his hometown of Amherst, Ohio 2 weeks from today, Wednesday August 13th, just 6 days before John's 100th birthday.

The Mainstreet Amherst organization promotes a Walkin' on Wednesday event on the second Wednesday of the summer months and it is quite a happening. The Penton Owners Group in conjunction with KTM has been provided a really nice area to do a Penton display for the event. The plan is for KTM to park one of their big race rigs in the center of town and for the Penton Owners Group to do a Penton Sportcycle display under the big KTM awning, this is where you come in.

We have been provided a nice sized area for the display and if you want to be a part of it you are most certainly welcome to do so. The festivities will run from 4 to 7:30 and we will begin setting up about 2:30. If you have a Penton or Pentons and want to join in the fun, or even if you just want to come and hang out and help the POG answer questions and represent the brand and honor John Penton, please do so. This isn't the first time KTM has provided a race rig for a POG display, below are a few photos from the 40th Anniversary event a few years back. The Penton Owners Group, with your help did John proud at the Pentonville VMD event, now let's do it again in John's hometown as we celebrate John Penton's upcoming 100th birthday. I heard there might even be a big birthday cake.
