Penton model history

Are there any resources that have a complete history of the various Penton models? I've kind of been thinking about trying to find a Penton from around '74 to '76, and I'm curious about production runs, specs, etc. Maybe there is a book published with that sort of thing?

I had a poor man's Penton (Hodaka) back in the day, but always wanted the real deal.
