Does anyone have any experience in repairing seat foam?  I am restoring a 1981 model & cannot find a used seat, except for Dr.2stroke.  The foam has split in a few places and missing bits & pieces.

Any help is appreciated.

Tony I have not personally done this work. I have though had good work done. I used a reputable local shop that did a lot of Harley work etc. I was however, very clear that the foam should be the hardest stuff possible. I had my old seat built up four inches-gave him the tank to profile with. He thought I was insane for wanting the seat that hard but he did it exact-including custom cover with correct seams. (at the time there was no logo I knew of to add to cover). He was in Fort Worth tx but has since moved and went into recovering antique furniture. I would expect to do the same thing here in Tucson five years later. I too have an 81 though and would like to know about any repro covers or stencils ( I don't even know what logo was on an 81? )

James,

Thanks for the response.  I will check with local upholstery shops.

For a seat cover for 1981 models, go to -
