Hey Guys if the manufacturer calls for a 500x17 and they are nonexistant can you use a 530x17 and squeak by. I remember on a past forum it depends on the tyre maker. I guess the main question is will it make that big a difference.
P.S. Larry I left you an email about your bike.
Thanks,
Jeff

Jeff,
I've got a '78 390 Husky that came stock with a 5.00x17 Trellborg and I have used as big as a 5.50.  I guess it all depends on swingarm clearance and tire style

Jeff...Kenda makes a 510x17 in their K257D series....BYT, I bought a 78' 400 MC5 project bike that has a 5.30x17 on it. Seems to have enough swingarm clearance but I haven't seen it with a chain yet.
