Also, can someone tell me how to ascertain the exact year of my bike?  All my numbers match but I cannot find a date...

Happy to give direction and advice for free and if this is legitimate I personally would do more than that.  Before that though, I would want to be sure this speil is legitimate.  No offense meant.  

Numbers DO NOT MATCH on Penton motorcycles.  Is it a KTM motor or Sachs?  What color is tank and what is it made of?  What does it say on tank?  Perhaps a pic of bike would also help.  If you could answer these and give us the frame number we can help you with advice and direction.  The number is on the steering head.
