Tank Stripe

Has anyone had the type of tank stripe that Al sells xovered in clear? The painter has my Tank and side covers and I wanted to get my stripes put on then a coat of clear shot over it for protection and the painter told me that the stripes have to be able to hold the clear spray without curling up. Any Ideas? I plan on calling Al Monday, but I thought I would get POG input. Thanks

 My take on this one, I (just me) would not spray clear over your tank decals because they were not like that originally, now on a steel tanker, I would.

 The last tank decals I got from Al (4 to 5 months ago) were two layers of vinyl. Black over white back-ground or white over black back-ground. So they were twice as thick with ridges as the single screen printed versions like the originals. I would definitly NOT clear over those.
