KTM clutch arm assmebly

I am looking for a clutch arm assmbly. I have the old style but the bike it is on is a 78 and I would like to put the correct on on. It works fine but would prefer the new style. If you have one that you can part with e-mail me. [email protected]

The 77's were the only year to use the "new style". In 78 they went back to the old style one.

Really, I did not know that. MY 76 which has the "new style" must have been one of the first to use that style of clutch lever. It is no wonder that depending on which book you look at what style is considered new. Mac was saying that the old style ie the ones that came on the 74,75 motors had a problem with the rod that pushes the clutch.. it welds itself to the clutch arm. Did they take care of that in the later motors? In my 78 parts manual the style that is on my 76 is called the "old style" but in my older book that includes parts for my 76 it calls it the new style. Very confusing. So I can see that what you are saying makes sense. [8D] Like I said it all depends on what book you are looking at.

In 78 I believe ,they went back to the old style actuator but went to bearings in the pressure plate and a new rod to avoid the welding thing. You need a newer style rod and pressure plate that takes the bearings to convert. Get a 78 parts book and you will see the changes.
