Have you SACHS motor builders had problems with Eastwood's "Aluma Blast" paint not holding up to fuel? I run Sunoco 110 octane in my bike. After depressing the carb tickler to start the bike, as always you get a little gas running out of the float bowl. I noticed very soon that the fuel had eaten away the paint on top of the center cases. Any suggestions/comments?

Thanks

Marc  I have never had any problem but I don't use the high octane stuff either.  93 is the highest I have used.

Eastwood makes a Diamond clear coat that I paint over the alumablast. The paint holds up a lot better.

Hello Marc,my little trick to solve that gas overflow problem. Before I start my bikes I just fold a shop rag or paper towel into a small square slide it under the carb and let it soak up any excess gas. By the time its warmed up I toss the rag aside and go racing!Hope this helps you out, Crash Carden ,Go Team Penton!
