Ron Carbaugh has been spotted in Missouri leaving less items in the "Show Me" state than he took from it.  He was last seen heading East North East.  He was ranting, "Fee Fi Foe Fum I smell the blood of Mid-Ohiodom."

PerRon Has just made contact and is headed South East out of Indianapolis, well I had better turn on the Omni so he don't get lost.   He was still babbling like you said, of course you have to excuse his Pennexas slang some times too!   I am sure he is havin fun.

  Are you the one that put the sign out on I74 near Shelbyville that said "Penton 4 sale"?  You know that was shameful to try to trick me that way.  Well it worked and some guy does have a old Penton.  Going to see it in the morning.  Really,he said his has a red tank and not a green one like on the trailer??   More later.  Thanks Doug for the directions.  Larry the bike got a lot of attention.

No, that wasn't me.  May have been a guy up by Rik's (NW Indy), he had a 74 250 for sale.  There are still a lot of Pentons in garages and barns in good old Indiana.  I just got a real nice complete "71" the other day:D  Have a safe trip and will see you Thursday!

Quite a trip so far.  Picked up a nice off brand bike today(Elsinore) and had a Gentleman flag me down today to look at a Penton on the trailer.
  It turns out this Gentleman, Cletus Kuhan, was an Ole Penton racer and we probably raced against each other in the 70's at Daytona.  We discussed Pentons and the bikes he still owns.  What a great way to spend a day reliving the past with someone who have been there.  Mr Kuhan said he had to go to deliver a part to his (I think grandson) to fix a Harley.  This guy was in shape...I just had to ask how old he was..................78 years young.  Man what racing does for aging.  Are you listening Young Ted.  I think there is a Penton over in Pennsyvania I need to look at next.

Don't feel too bad about the Honda Ron, heck, I have a nice original "75" 250 Maico and am going to look at a real nice 250 Alpina after Mid Ohio.  Just want to have all the bikes I couldn't have as a kid!  Now, if I could only convince a certain fellow to sell me that original "72" 250 ISDT Jawa;)  See Ya Thursday!

Waldo has put down his landing gear and making a short layover before the big event.   Of course he had to land because his plane (trailer) was over loaded with bikes and exhaust pipes.   Sorry guys but I get first dibs.

You Know it sorta reminds me as a kid watching the news on Christmas Eve night and the weather man saying they have spotted santa on radar !! Somebody neeeds to alert the Ohio weather men about Ron !!:D

  Your safe I had to turn north about 30 miles west of Wheeling.  That lead didn't pan out so I came on into home(Amherst).  I have some leads around the Lorain & Cleveland area sooo Monday morning I am off again.

Another great day.  Doug an I got a lead on some Hercules, Maico and Penton parts and frames.  Unfortunitely we got no Penton stuff, but the guy has some New Hercules and one Maico frame.  More later.
