Ron,
What did Steve Wises's old Six Day have in common with Jim Pomeroy's GP winning Bultaco of that era.? I could'nt figure it out.
Thanks, Bob

Rob,
Just a little point, but if you remember the day when Jim Pomeroy did the impossible(first American to win a world GP).  The big rage after that incredible win was to put the American Flag on your front number plate.
Small detail, but someday people will wonder WHY??? we did put the American Flag on the front number plate.
As always Rob thanks for always being the person to ask the tough questions.  Thanks for the great parts at Mid-Ohio, they are much appreciated.

Ron,
Oh okay, that's it.
No...thank you for the tough questions.
I did something abit different than that...I changed my racing number to 57 the day after I recieved that news. Someday I'll show you a picture of my ole' number 57, a '73 Berkshire MX.
It looked to me like Mr. Pomeroy has shed a few pounds since last year...ahh, conditioning...just one of the rewards of semi-seriously getting back into racing.

I quickly decided to leave at 10:30 pm on saturday when I got a call from my son saying he missed me, I got home at 3:30 am. On my way I remembered I missed switching Sachs side covers with you. Anytime is a good time for me to finish that project.

It was a busy time meeting old and new friends at Mid-Ohio, I would have loved to spent more time with you, but just being under the same tent, looking over and seeing your smiling face, was great enough. :)

90 days until we link at Zink.

Rob,
Thanks for the great friendship and the wonderful help you always are to all the POG organization.  I thought I better bring everyone else up to speed on what we are talking about on the Pomeroy bike.
The front number plate on the Steve Wise's bike (last months monthly Quiz) had a American Flag as did Jim Pomeroy's GP winning Bultaco.  Sorry for Rob and I going off on our own little discussion, just typical of two old racers sharing the love of racing.

PS:  You did the right thing by going home.

I had wondered where you went Bob, Now I know. Great Call on your part! Family is being felt more and more since I have been in POG we rush around and we sometimes take things for granted but since I have been here in POG I am seeing things in a different light ! I love my family more than life itself but sometimes it is easy to get caught up in the rat race !

Rob,
Don't worry, I think your son will have plenty of help from his POG uncles.  As Thomas said it is great to have Penton/Family fun and keep Family first and in perspective.
