Sachs " D" model motor

thats what I thought. will make  a great addition to a racer after some porting  work is done. Is it safe to think that the D motor had the shifting problems ( 6 neutrals) fixed?

  From the pictures I saw of the top end it looks like a standard "D" engine, but I will reserve this opinion until I see the case area around the rod area.  Your question on  shifting can be resolved with proper set up and I never felt that the D engines really had that much advantage over the other engines (i.e. A & B engines).  Just my thoughts.
