Recently, I've learned of an issue with the MZ-B flywheels that everyone who is using the system needs to be aware of. When you are removing the flywheel from the crankshaft, under no circumstances should you use a jaw type puller on the shell of the flywheel. You must use a hub type puller in the hub of the flywheel, as supplied with each kit.

Using a jaw type puller, will flex the shell, and break the bond between the magnets and the shell of the flywheel. I have only learned of this problem in the last week, and today, unfortunately, I saw first hand, the results of doing the jaw puller thing. Sorry about not posting this sooner, but I didn't realize the gravity of the situation.

DITTO!  I should remind everyone also, that goes for ALL flywheels on every type of motor ever.  Jaw type pullers have ruined more flywheels than loose nuts ever.  We found this out in the early 1960's on Hondas. The hub style pullers exert the force the only place it can be put safely, at the taper.
