I have what I think is a '73 (might be '74) Jackpiner MX version for sale. I bought it to restore but I just have no time! It runs great, looks mostly original. I'm thinking that it just needs paint and polish. It's all there. The number playes are metal, not plastic. The fenders are narrow and semi opaque, Magura levers and covers. I'm no expert, but take a look at the pictures.

I have a couple of boxes of parts that go with it, including cases, a head with broken fins, sprockets, another set of forks, and lots of levers (shift, clutch, brake, etc) and other misc. pieces. I don't have them inventoried though, and no, I don't have any pictures of the parts. Why? because they are buried under my work bench and hidden by my PE400 that, again, I have no time to finish.

Anyway, go here to see the pictures:

I'm asking highest over $1000 so make me an offer. I'm located about an hour north of Tampa on the coast (New Port Richey). I've seen some junk and non-running stuff for over a grand, so I figure that's a fair price for a runner that looks like it needs little for a full resto...

Thanks,

Okay, I'm really not sure. What's this bike worth?

Like I said, I've seen, what amounts to non-running junk, in the $800-$900 range. I think a grand is a fair price for a runner. Am I a bit over the top? I really don't have time for this bike, and that's a shame. I wish I did. That's why I'm offering it up to my fellow POGers.

I was planning on stripping it and powder coating the frame, having a friend do a new professional blue paint job, add new deacls, repaint the engine and pipe, polish up the aluminum and get the seat reupholstered. I already have new shocks for it. That's all I was going to do to it. Well, maybe new fenders or give them a light coat of white.

If I don't sell it, it'll wind up sitting in my garage for a while, and I don't want that to happen. It's been sitting for a while already when I found it, cleaned the carb and fired her up! You guys know they're meant to be ridden, but in addition to this, I have a PE400 (still needs to be finished too),a DR350, DR650, and a Triumph Speed Triple that all need to be ridden. I don't have time. I'm stretched too thin!

I'm not lookin' to screw anybody, I just want to give this Piner a good home...any takers (and no, I'm not gonna give her away...)

Swampy,

I'm in the Orlando area. What's your bottom dollar? There was a piner enduro that sold for $1000 to the first bidder on ebay earlier this week but it appeared to have a little less wear & tear. Does this bike run through the gears o.k.? If the price is right it could save you some shipping hassles.

Runs fine. I bought it and rode it around the neighborhood. A bit loud though. It's been sitting on my workbench for about two months now.....should start right up.

I'll give it to you for $900 if you come pick it up, plus you get all the parts and the manual.

I'd love to keep it, but I just don't have the time to put into it, and I'd rather see it go to someone who knows what the bike is and the history rather than some bonehead....just sentimental I guess....

I can give you a deal on an unfinished PE400 as well if you're interested ($700). Needs a pipe. I have the silencer, but bought the wrong pipe for it! I was going to use it in the SuperVintage class in FTR Hare Scrambles...it ain't a show bike, but it pulls like a tractor...

Check the serial # this will tell if it is 73 or 74.

If 73 I might be intereseted in it for a parts bike.

My Mom's in near, so maybe I can arrange a vacation to come and see.

Pictures needed.
