Bob, your post caught my eye but I only have a 308:D. I'm still working on that frame you gave me and I just need a few thousand dollars to finish up. Have a great new year yourself. Gavin

Hi Bob, Sure wish I could make that indoor race but it's trade show season at work and I have to do some non motorcycle related travelling [V] I do plan to hit the cross country races pretty hard on vintage and PV. See ya in the woods.

Rob, I remember that day at Carniege, I was on the other side of the track. The starting gate was infront of me and the long straight away with the TT style jump and the hill where the tire had come from was to my right. I saw the tire after I heard the screams. It was so weird to see people fleeing to get out of the path of the tire. I did not know that anyone had been killed. I am sorry to hear that, How could anyone do such a thing![V][V][V]
I remember seeing Decoster fly off that jump and then to everyones horror, the front ends snaps off as he lands, I remember thinking that it could have killed him or at the least break him up so bad that it would put him out for the whole next season, I was glad to hear that all he broke was his nose! The picture of Decoster in Motocross action with a bandaid across his nose was a welcome site.
I grew up in San Jose and raced all around that area but never did get to race at carniege. There is a track near that that I had raced seveal times that I really loved, I think it was called Sand Hill, Anyone know if it is still there, I remember seeing Magoo, fly off those jumps with both hands in the air, What a hot dog he was, He predates all of the free style stuff that is so popular now. but that is a another story!
