Greetings,

I posted part of this in the "Wanted / For Sale" section of the site but I figured cross-posting it would not hurt as I still do no have an answer.  A couple of weeks ago I sent my existing speedometer and hub drive to North Hollywood Speedometer for restoration.  The owner got in touch with me shortly there after to inform me that my hub drive was spent and needed to be replaced, but he needed to know the ratio ( ratio of the hub drive is how many revolutions the speedometer cable makes when the drive is attached to the wheel of the bike and rolled for 1/100th of a mile 52.8 feet ) of the new hub drive in order to calibrate the restored speedometer.  Well Al B. is sending me a new hub drive and the numbers stamped on it are 00/58/1 RH 4.78.  Does anyone have the same drive unit and know the ratio?  I would test it myself, but I am still waiting for my wheels to come back from chrome.

Thanks,

KD

KD,
Here is a link to the library. Mark Anna wrote an article on how to determine drive ratios for VDO equipment.Look at the bottom of the files list.
