Just curious whats up with that 1979 400 KTM motor on E bay.
 That is the weirdest looking head and cylinder ??  I wonda, wonda wonda....

...........every other fin on the cylinder is milled part way off............took me a few minutes of head scratching to figure that one out..............

Oh...well that explains it, Thanks Merlin,  I've just never seen such a weird looking configuration of cooling fins !!

Nothing Practical, I'm sure. Seems that in the day some other brands were making trick looking cylinders and head that looked much different with that kind of look. I'm sure that whomever did it they were just trying to look cool and not worried about being functional.
