Another resto question.

I've been reading the posts about rims and spokes and it dawned on me that if the new rims are drilled for cross 2 and not the original cross 3 or 4, is that good or bad if you're doing a correct restoration?? The purists will notice, but will anyone else, and does it or should it make a difference??? I'm planning my project and questions like this pop up.[^]
