How does one check the timing on the Sachs 125 cc machines? I have seen the 0.deg and 3. deg numbers stamped into the flywheel but i am clueless to thier reference. Where should it be for everyday running. do these machines have points? thank you POG for your support.

iliketoride;
Sounds like you have a steel flywheel, right! Then you have an original Bosch Ignition and you do have points - look thru the slots and you will see the points and if you want to set the timing set the points to open at the 3 degree mark.  There is an indentation on the cases that shows you TDC at 0 degree and back the flywheel to 3 degrees, use a buzzer or a light to show you when the points open, the adjustments can be reached thru the slots.

QuoteActually, the ignition is one of the motoplat type with an aluminum flywheel, I suspect that they are electronic and have no points to adjust. What now?
