Hi Friends,

Well we are ½ way to the finish line, three weeks down and three to
go.

I still feel good but the energy level is starting to fade some. My
taste is almost gone so food isn't very much fun anymore.

But there is real good progress from the treatments the lymph node and tumor are shrinking significantly!

We had a wonderful weekend. Mom and Dad drove down to spend the
weekend here. That was the best birthday present ever.

Thanks to Dave and Barbie, new friends from Houston, for a wonderful
time and dinner.

Attached is a photo we like to call JP sighting in honor of another
very famous "sighting".

Ron and Paul, there must be some place this will fit on the POG site.

Thanks to Barbra Penton for getting the shot "in the wild".

A very special thanks to all of you that have sent cards, e-mails etc. I really enjoy them and appreciate them.

Love to all. Make today a great day!

John was sighted in Texas.  I always liked the bumper sticker I saw on an old Model A that said "I may not be fast , But I AM AHEAD of You!".  Mr. Penton will always be a person that I look up to because he never gives up.  Thanks Jack for sharing this picture and our Prayers are with you and your Family.

Just remember life is like a muddy Enduro, the weak give up and don't finish, the tough slog on through and come out on top.  You will come out on top.
Good luck and have a speedy recovery.

A belated Happy Birthday and Get Well from the Palmetto State. It was an honor for me to have met you the last two VMD's. I'm sure there will be many more JP sightings in the future, whether they are Big John or Young Jack. Keep the roost's flying.
