Hey guys,
I am still working on that 75 mint 400. I am getting close. I went to put on a new seat cover and to my amazement it did not fit, I bought a long and tall but it does not fit, I had another one thinking maybe it was mismarked but the same is true. It fits fine from front to back but it is still not nearly tall enough. The foam does not look like it has been added to. I am short on both sides by a full inch.... There was a seat cover on it when I bought the bike but it was way to far gone to be of any value. Did I miss something, Is there another seat cover I should have used? Will Penton ever rise again?:D
Thanks for the input!

Thom,

Sometimes these repro seat covers don't fit as advertised.

I've had two from Al B. that I had to take to an upholstry shop and have a bit extra sewn on around the bottom to get them to fit because when put over the foam they barely reached under the base.  These were both CMF bikes though.

I think it just goes with what "run" you get on the covers from who ever makes them.

Thanks Tony, I will contact my supplier tomorrow. It just seem odd that I would have to add so much, with the addition of something to glue to it makes it almost 2 inches per side... very odd...
