I'm planning on updating my Jackpiner's wheels for the '07 season.  I currently have full or "straight" hubs, I'm thinking of sourcing different hubs. What if any are the advatages of the Penton conical hubs.  Also, is there a better alternative for a hub (other than Penton)? Thanks.

The conical hubs are quicker to do flat changes, under 6 day timed racing circumstances.
They come off and and go on quicker then the straight hubs. Of course, non of this applies if your not under these conditions.
Or if you ever get the opportunity to race in the six day...

Anyway, the conical hubs are easier to work with. But I think the extra bearings in the sprocket carrier makes them more durable for the long haul, and they last longer.

Aren't the conical hubs lighter also?
