Thought I would put this up here before it goes to eBay.  I had purchased this bike to do a Dual Sport ride that is held every year in Big Bend National Park, but the doctors don't want me riding 100 to 200 miles a day.  I have a like brand new 2005 CRF 230 Honda for sale.  It has the Baja lighting kit and is street legal (Texas Title).  If you were to do this to a new bike you would probably have in the neighboorhood of $4300.00 + in it after all the paperwork etc.  I am asking for any offers at or over $3000.00.  The bike has less than 30 break in miles on the street.  Also included if anyone is interested is a custom rack for trail riding.  Either email me off this site or call me @832.722.0408.  Thanks.

Ron,
I'll put in a plug for you on your Honda. I have a CRF-230 with a Baja Design lighting kit, but not street legal. It really is a nice woods bike. Especially for height-challenged folks like me that like to be able to touch the ground. I also upped the power a little with a Baja Design silencer (still quiet) and new carb jetting. The price you are asking is very reasonable. Sorry you missed the Big Bend ride, it sounds like fun. I rode there in the early 70s on a DKW after coming across the northern part of Mexico and crossing the Rio Grande in a row boat. Good luck.

This sounds like it would be a good bike for my good OU friend Larry's daughter. What do you think??

Nelson,
I took the short cut and took the baffle out of the muffler and mad the carburetor jetting changes and I think I picked up 2 horsepower.  As you know from the old karting days it is great to have a dino around.  You keep talking and i may keep the bike.  I did buy a rack for it that almost makes it like a true trail/work bike.  I haven't instaled it yet.  Merry CHRISTmas Nelson.

Ron,
To tell the truth, I don't know why you wouldn't keep it. I know I wouldn't get rid of mine for that price! And the magic button on the handle bar sure saves the leg when it comes time to start it up. Merry Christmas to you, and everyone else, also.

Thanks for all the emails...it may be sold.  Nelson it may be headed to your state so move over [:p].  Of course I know from your karting days you never moved over.....those were the great days.

Well, as it turns out it isn't sold.  My Friend is going to get his son a bike instead of buying another bike for himself...wise choice.  I will leave this up till Christmas then put it up for sale on the big board.  Thanks for the emails.[8D]
