As many of you already know, the Penton Owners Group is embarking on a project to gather information on the steel tank era of the Penton motorcycle.  This era began with the birth of the Penton in 1968 - 1971.  This project will take some time to complete and will consist of collecting images and stories from people who were directly involved with the Penton brand at that time.

We are now at the point where we are starting generate photos for a book to be published in the future and we need your help!

If you have a restored or original steel tank bike and/or components, and would be willing to bring them to Amherst, Ohio on a given day for a photo shoot, please contact me at [email protected] or (734)729-3496.

Some of the components that we need are bare breather or non-breather frames, chain adjusters, foot pegs, motor mounts, skid plates, center stands, long, short, husky style air systems, engines and various heads, pipes, rear four and six bolt rear hubs, early and later front and rear axles, screw off and lever type gas tanks, long and short seats and chainguards, various headlights and taillights, wide and narrow fender braces, speedo mounts, steering dampener, and numerous other items.

Thanks for your help,
Bill Smith
