Does anyone know where I can get the above tire?
I am in need of a new one for my 175. I see 120\90 x18 listed as a replacement buy vendors for the 100\100 x18, but clearance on the chain guard/chain guide is a big issue with my bike. Would like not to have to cut side knobs down on it.

I just checked the warehouse and the S12 is available but the M12 is not for several more weeks. But, I really don't recommend these tires for a vintage bike.  Too much traction on the S12 and not enough on the M12.  It also isn't vintage in appearance.  Michelin didn't even make a knobby till about 1986.  I don't even use these on my modern bikes.  I can't brake slide with them.
I have had great luck with the Pirelli MT16 110/100X18 for the Jackpiners.  This was originally Pirelli's 400X18 but more like a Metzler MX/Enduro 450X18 which some used on late 1970's, 125s, 175 and 250s. Much smaller than the Metz Multicross 450X18 which was a HUGE tire. PU part # MT16-66160, $78.95msrp
I would actually recommend the Cheng Shin C183 400X18 , Barum copy, 4 ply, which is what I have been using on my Six Day 125 and my Hercules.  PU part # C183A11 . $$47.95msrp.
I would also consider the C755 in a 4.60X18 which maybe actually smaller than the Pirelli . Metzler copy, PU part # C7557 which is a 6 ply. $52.95msrp.
OR, the Duro HF335 Cross Country which maybe the best choice for your application in a 460X18.  Metzler copy, PU part # HF335-54, $51.95msrp.
The MT16 front is a great tire and I strongly recommend it. Looks Vintage, works like modern front tire.
Hope this helps,
Dwight

I love and respect you Dwight, and I bought the M16s for a couple bikes a few years ago but they were too big and heavy for my liking. I use the S12s on the rear and M12s on the front.

Thanks for the information folks. I think i should have been a little more detailed in my first post. The tire is for a 73 CMF 125 Penton Six-Days frame. It has the Sachs/KTM 175 engine in it. The clearance is a Big issue. I have an MT16 on it now in 100/100 x18 and it was too wide. We had to cut about 1/4 inch off the side knobs to get it too clear. Dwight, folks, with that in mind which tire would you think would fit?
Teddy has a square hub 175 Piner and thats what he uses the S12 and N12's on in 100/100 X18. The S is soft M medium and the N a hard compound I THINK!.
I do need the tire to hook up with the added torque. The MT16 does that, just it is a hassle to fit. Have to flatten the chain guard and do some shifting on the chain guide for it to work.
We updated my frame to have the 75 125 Penton Sachs engine  shock mounts. While at it we want to get the tire issue resolved .
With all this in mind what would you folks recommend? The RR will be upon us before we know it and i want to make it this year. Chuckle Chuckle!
Thank you all for the help you have supplied over the years.

I use the MT16 on the rear of my Canned Ham 175 and have had great results. I imagine it would be a good tire for any 175 or bigger. It IS a bit heavy but traction is unmatched and they are VERY flat resistant.

I put the MT16s on my Jackpiner and they work GREAT.
I would not put a rear MT16 on anything less.  But the front works great also on anything. I am not a Michelin fan but I don't remember the MT16 being significantly heavier than a S12.
