What is the recommended torque for the countershaft sprocket nut on a Berkshire?
Also, I have the case protector but it is only held at the bottom of
the side cover by a slot, what is supposed to hold it at the top?
Mine rattles loose on the chain, I'd like to use it but don't see any way to keep it away from the chain. The only thing I can think of is mine is bent and it should be a pressure fit at the top of the case? Thanks for any info.

Jim;
The sprocket nut (left handed threads) tighten to 50 Foot pounds.
The case protector should be a snug fit between the upper and lower castings of the engine cases.   You will need to bend yours to fit
between those areas.   If the upper case flange is broken off you will need to figure a way to hold it at the top.   Maybe if you have enough material bolt it.
Have Fun!
