Aluminum MX Tanks ?

Good morning. Do the aluminum MX tanks,that you see on Pentons , fall nto the unobtainum catagory ? Does anyone make reproductions of them ? With the potential for modern fuels to react with the plastic tanks and trying to keep the paint nice on them, an aluminum tank might be worth having.

Almost impossible to get. One brought over $800 on ebay last month. The enduro version is only slightly easier to find.

Thanks Dennis. I figured as much. One of our fellow Ohio POG members runs one on his bike and it looks very nice. Kind of has that factory race bike no nonsense look.  I also am pretty sure ,it makes a 250 Penton much faster because the couple times I have seen him race ,he was very fast.

I ran one on my 125 at 2006 Mid Ohio (if you wanted to see picture of it) and I like it. I purchased mine about 7 years ago at a motorcycle swap meet for $40 and passed on a second one sitting there! These days as stated they are extremely expensive if you can find one.
