72 Six Days headlight wiring

Hey, I tried wiring my headlight tonight with no luck. The book I have does not have the same color wires as what my 72 125 has. At the juction box there are three wires, a red,yellow and green, running next to that is a dk blue wire that I wired the kill switch into which did work. I grouded the headlight up where the coil is grounded. Which wire should run the headlight without a switch? I tried all three with the bike running and no go so I assumed the bulb is blown but really need to know which is the correct procedure before I burn out the Motoplat. Thanks,TTP

The yellow wire is for the headlight, I believe it is a 35 watt feed.
