Has anyone any new information about the KTM celebration in September up in Amherst?  It sounded like a real great get together.

Unless I'm incorrect, this celebration is about the Penton motorcycle, not about KTM. KTM will be involved though.

The celebration of the 40th anniversary of the creation of the Penton motorcycle will be the 20th and 21st. There will be more information later on.

The dates are September 20 and 21, 2008

The home base will be the KTM campus just west of Amherst.

Dry camping is allowed on the KTM property.

We are working on a banquet for Sat. night.

Guided tours of the recently expanded KTM facility will be provided.

A tour of the locations that Penton Imports and Penton Brothers operated from is being planned.

We hope to have the largest display of Pentons ever assembled, we welcome everything from barn fresh finds to perfect restorations, old worn out race machines to top notch race machines.

We hope to have a parade of Pentons thru Amherst, this item is still in the planning stage.

We will NOT be having any race events during this weekend.

More details are being worked out at this time.  We plan on having a mailing to POG members to get a feel for the number of folks who will attend, this will help us with some of the planning details.

Any and all comments and suggestions are welcome, either post them here or send along an email.  [email protected]

Old worn out race machines:  Glad you have a spot for us.  We'll be there.

Ernie,

We may need a row of rocking chairs like they have along the front of the Cracker Barrel for some of the "Old Worn out Racers" who may bring their "Old Worn our Racers" to display.
